Protecting America’s Public Lands

The Foundation for America's Public Lands is the Bureau of Land Management's official charitable partner and was created to mobilize private investment and community partnerships in service of America's 245 million acres of public lands.

I worked with a team to help build their socials and media presence from the ground up. Over the course of a year, we developed a brand voice and identity that shaped everything from messaging strategy to visual storytelling. In addition to drafting press releases, web content, social copy, and other communications materials, I led stakeholder engagement efforts, organizing listening sessions with a wide range of voices.

When the Foundation for America's Public Lands launched a historic $11.1 million drought resilience program in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management, I developed the social media toolkit and coordinated messaging that helped partners, advocates, and elected officials amplify the announcement across platforms. The work required translating dense policy and economic data into copy that felt urgent and accessible without losing the substance — connecting ranchers, tribal nations, conservationists, and everyday Westerners to the same story about what a healthy Colorado River Basin makes possible.
